Red Glimmer Medallion with the Scallop Edge Punch

This card is one of my favorites with the Red Glimmer paper.  This paper is so great, its thick and sturdy yet thin enough to be punched. and the glitter does not come off.

I used Naturals White as the card base. The large black square is 3 1/4" on each side. The Red Glimmer square is 3" on a side. The heart was punched using the Full Heart Punch. It is sitting on a 2" black square that is on a 2 1/4" white square.

There are 2 special tricks to this card.
To create the medallion, center the paper in the Scallop Edge Punch and punch once on each side, but NOT going to the edges. The little bit left in the corners leaves this wonderful medallion shape.
To stick the white piece to the glimmer paper I put a full dimensional in each corner. The hope was that the dimensional would make a strong contact on the exposed black strip through the medallion. Adhesives don't stick very well to the glimmer paper. The back side sticks well, but the front is bumpy and does not glue well.

Let me know if there is any way I can help you with your stamping needs. Thanks for checking the blog.
